September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day! This year our
theme is Passport for Living (#Passport4L). CSP’s Passport for Living
illustrates healthy travelling through life. Taking care of ourselves and
building personal resiliency are key to suicide prevention, and everyday
activities can contribute to positive mental health!

We have many exciting things going on this WSPD:

WSPD Challenge
This
#WSPD2015, we challenge you to do things to boost your mental health! Everyday activities can contribute to positive mental health, so download your own Passport for Living to start checking off your mentally healthy activities.  Feel free to come up with your
own activities – ours are just guidelines! Share a picture of your mentally
healthy activity to Twitter using the hashtag #Passport4L; we would love to see
how you affirm life in everyday activities.
The challenge starts Sept. 10 so stop by our website then to download your #Passport4L!

Pop-Up Coffee Awareness Event
If you’re in Calgary on Sept. 10, stop by Analog Coffee from 11 am-1 pm to check out our awareness event and get a free coffee!

Calgary Transit Partnership Event
CSP will also be downtown at the 1st St LRT platform talking about the importance of suicide education training and our partnership with Calgary Transit, Livingworks Education, and the Distress Centre.

Free Workshops
CSP is also hosting three free workshops for WSPD: Straight Talk: Youth Suicide Prevention Workshop, Tattered Teddies: Preventing Suicide in Children, and safeTALK: Suicide Alertness for Everyone. These workshops are provided at no cost thanks to our sponsors Zone 3 Business Solutions, The Kahanoff Conference Centre, and Westland Insurance Inc.

New Resource Release
We will also be releasing iE 19: Mental Wellness and Suicide Prevention,
a resource article about the importance of protective factors, on Sept. 10.
