Last Friday we attended the 4th annual Music 4 Life Concert Series Fundraiser, this year at Flames Central in Calgary. The musicians were great; Daniel Wesley, SAVK, Lunar Wilde, and Scratch Buffalo played to an engaged, enthusiastic crowd, while video messages encouraging people to talk openly about mental health and suicide were featured in between performances. Tickets for the event were $30, and people were invited to give using Good Pin, a giving platform who ran a campaign especially for the Music 4 Life event.

Music 4 Life is hosted by the I Will Survive Association, and raises funds for suicide prevention programs in Calgary. Centre for Suicide Prevention, Distress Centre Calgary, and CMHA – Calgary are recipients of the proceeds from Music 4 Life. We are so grateful to the I Will Survive Association for their commitment to suicide prevention, and their continued support of our centre.
