FRN – In-person workshops
These in-person workshops are available to FRN staff for registration. Click here to register for virtual workshops.
Click on ‘register’ below to request a maximum of 2 participants per workshop date for your organization. If you’d like to be added to our waitlist for additional seats, fill out this form. If additional seats are available 10 days prior to the workshop, Centre for Suicide Prevention will provide you with a timeframe to book additional participants.
Each workshop must have a minimum number of participants to move forward and seats are subject to availability. Centre for Suicide Prevention will send a confirmation notice once seats are confirmed.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—anyone 18 or older can learn and use the ASIST model. Learn more.
If you need to transfer or cancel your registration, please contact Giovanna Stea, Registrar for the Centre for Suicide Prevention at [email protected]. Please provide sufficient notice, if possible, so we can ensure your seat is filled by another participant. Cancellation and change fees will not apply (as indicated on the registration form and confirmation emails).
