The authors of this paper describe a program that focuses on delivering key health care messages and providing a safety net for young workers in the building and construction industry, particularly those who live in rural and regional areas. Both components have been developed using narrative educational approaches within a youth work practice model (Broadbent & Corney 2008; Sapin 2009). The paper examines the program logic, the mapping of objectives to outcomes, and the narrative educational theory model of delivery, including how this model builds a program foundation that is responding not only to government policy and funding requirements, but also to a significant community issue.
