A Solution to Control Suicides Using Combined Overlap Block Fuzzy Cognitive Maps

The imperative reason for suicide was analyzed using Combined Overlap Block Fuzzy Cognitive Maps. This method becomes effective when a number of concepts can be grouped & are large in numbers. The first section of this paper gives information about the development of fuzzy cognitive maps, & the second section gives preliminaries of fuzzy cognitive maps & combined overlap block fuzzy cognitive maps. The third section explains the methodology of determining hidden patterns & concepts of the problem are given in Section 4. The final section presents the conclusion based on the study, namely that the lack of counsellors to help people out of depression is the major reason for suicide. (7 refs.) JA
