A prospective-retrospective study was carried out of suicide among young people in Jaipur, India during 2004-2008. 223 suicides were identified among the 627 autopsies that were performed. Results indicated the interrelation between the availability of highly lethal methods & the rate of suicide. 3 cases involving young adults pursuing their professional qualifications are presented.
