This report presents findings from a process & impact evaluation of Phase 2 of the New Zealand Guidelines Group’s Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention Collaborative – Whakawhanaungatanga. The collaborative is designed to improve crisis care in emergency departments, Maori health, Maori mental health, & mental health services in ways that recognize local situations, people, & resources, & builds on the 2003 guideline. Overall, the evaluation found the collaborative had made significant progress by the end of Phase 2. General satisfaction with the collaborative was high amongst all stakeholders.
