Abstract
Completed Suicide After Attempted Suicide: Methods Used in Attempts may Indicate the Degree of Risk
Hawton K
In this editorial, the author reviews a study by Runeson et al (2010) in which they found the risk of completed suicide among a sample of Swedish patients varied considerably according to the methods used in earlier attempts. Their study has important implications for assessment & aftercare but caution is suggested in interpreting the results. (12 refs.)
