This paper explores the two medical ethics principles of autonomy & beneficence placed at risk & the moral considerations for emergency medical services personnel when a valid out-of-hospital do not resuscitate order, a patient attempt at suicide, & a call to 9-1-1- intersect in the same temporal period.
