This strategy builds on the work & learning of its predecessor & provides a collaborative & co-operative whole of community approach to suicide prevention. The documents begins by providing an outline of the incidence of suicide & a summary of the evaluation of the 2005-2008 strategy. The next section provides the framework for the current strategy. Risk & protective factors, & at-risk populations are then discussed. The last part of the document describes action areas & the implementation plan; governance, implementation, & evaluation; & consultation.
