Effective Public Health Strategies in Suicide Prevention are Possible: a Selective Review of Recent Studies

A report by the World Health Organization isolated a series of effective public health tactics to prevent suicide. This paper presents a selective review of research-based examples, including public education, controlling the environment (for example, anti-alcohol policies) & means restriction, & the toning down of media reports.
