In January 2005, a symposium was held at Akita University, Japan on national suicide prevention projects around the world & how learnings from these can be applied to Japan. This presentation discussed suicide prevention measures in China & briefly reviewed common factors in national strategies. The presentation concluded by discussing the implications of these frameworks for suicide prevention measures in Japan.
