This report summarizes an Inuit youth engagement conference. The youth discussed what they could do from a strengths-based focus to reduce suicide & meet the needs of youth in Nunavut communities. One of the main purposes of the conference was to focus on the importance of storytelling as a key part of Inuit culture. Elders were invited to share their wisdom & knowledge to aid the youth in developing their cultural identity & in shaping their lives. Youth were helped to develop a suicide prevention project to take back to their home communities.
