Unanswered Questions About Suicidal Behavior in Latency age Children – a Review

Based on a comprehensive literature review, this presentation outlined a variety of factors that have been considered relevant to suicidal behaviour in latency age children, 6-12 years. Areas where research is needed & methodological processes to conduct this research were discussed. The necessity to implement investigations that can definitively delineate those factors that significantly correlate with a high risk for suicide behaviour in children was pointed out. The significant conclusions garnered from the literature review were discussed as were the implications for research & prevention.
