The results of a study examining the variation in parasuicide among patients from different ethnic groups presenting to the Toronto General Hospital between August 1977-August 1978 were reported in this presentation. The social networks of patients born outside of Canada were compared to parasuicidal patients born in Canada & conclusions were drawn about possible differences in psychopathology between the 2 groups.
