This article contains excerpts from a book on the life of Marlene Moore, who was the first woman in Canada to be declared a dangerous offender & was, therefore, subject to indefinite imprisonment. Moore died by suicide in the Prison for Women in Kingston, Ontario in 1988 at the age of 31.
