This report examines suicide-related hospitalizations & death in Multnomah County, Oregon by age group & gender. Older males were found to have high suicide death rates. Adolescents appear to have high suicide attempt rates both in Multnomah County & nationally. Strategies for prevention are also presented. (9 refs.)
