This report reviews key achievements in suicide prevention in Ireland during 2007. These include the launch of a mental health awareness campaign, the continued development of a coordinated & uniform approach to responding to self-harm, the publication of two major research reports, the establishment of a Technology for Wellness group; the completion of a national review of bereavement support services, ongoing financial support for voluntary organizations working in suicide prevention, & ongoing collaboration with colleagues in Northern Ireland on a joint action plan.
