Means Matter: Suicide, Guns & Public Health. Summary of Key Findings From Means Matter Survey

Between May 2006-March 2007, the Harvard Injury Control Research Centre conducted telephone interviews with statewide suicide prevention policy representatives & did content analyses of written state suicide prevention plans. Most state groups had a published plan but only nine had implemented activities aimed at reducing access to firearms. This document provides responses to the questions posed in the telephone interviews & a description of the means reduction activities in the 9 states that are doing so.
