In these letters to the editor, 1) Chotai refutes Salib & Cortina’s apparent misinterpetations of previous studies of month of birth in relation to suicide; & 2) Jongbloet discusses another explanation for the month of birth effect noted by Salib & Cortine-Borja, namely the increasing south-north gradient (geographic latitude effect).
