This article reviews research by Ann M. Mitchell on adult survivors of suicide. Reactions of survivors, stigma, & the use of critical incident stress debriefing as an intervention are discussed. The study group included 60 survivors, within one month of the death, who were 18 years or older and who were randomized into either the treatment-as-usual group or the study intervention group.
