In this letter to the editor, Dr. Terao comments on an article by Siever (2008) on the neurobiology of aggression & violence. Terao notes suicide, which he calls the most dangerous self-directed aggressive behaviour, was not explicitly mentioned nor was lithium included in the discussion of pharmacological treatments.
