In this letter to the editor, the author comments on the neglect of adolescent suicide in Middle East countries. He attributes this to a lack of research on adolescent mental health, the absence of an integrated management approach to adolescent health problems, & the lack of study on subthreshold syndromes related to depression, & the fact that not all suicides are associated with depression. He concludes his letter with suggestions for addressing adolescent suicide & mental health issues. (8 refs.)
