Advancing Prevention Research on the Role of Culture in Suicide Prevention

In this discussion paper, the authors consider the three ethnic minority suicide prevention efforts described in articles in this issue of “Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior”, along with participants’ comments from the “Pragmatic Considerations of Culture in Preventng Suicide” workshop. Six major areas are proposed where issues of culture need to be better integrated into suicidal behaviour research. (42 refs.)
