Invisible Wounds of War: Summary and Recommendations for Addressing Psychological and Cognitive Injuries

Three specific post-deployment conditions among American military personnel – posttraumatic stress disorder, major depression, & traumatic brain injury – were the focus of this study. Previous research has demonstrated significant impairments in daily life as well as linkages with suicide, homelessness, & substance abuse. This summary report provides the key findings, conclusions, & recommendations from the larger study.
