Lander H~~Tallaksen D W
Since 1998, Vivat’s ASIST course has been part of the state-initiated Action Plan Against Suicide in Norway. More than 12,000 participants have taken the two-day course. A new & comprehensive evaluation of Vivat was conducted to ascertain whether the participants gain long-lasting competence & ability to intervene in cases where the risk of suicide is imminent & to see whether the program raises competence in the workplace. This article reports on findings from the evaluation, carried out in Autumn 2006 & Spring 2007.
