Suicide Prevention Strategy for Teesside 2004/2005

This strategy outlines the national policy context, the local policy context, the Teesside model for suicide prevention, local objectives & action plan, & the performance management structure. The goals of the strategy are: to reduce the risk in key high-risk groups; to promote the mental well-being of the wider population; to reduce the availability & lethality of suicide methods; to improve the reporting of suicidal behaviour in the media; to promote research on suicide & suicide prevention; & to improve monitoring of progress in meeting the goals of the national strategy.
