South Gloucestershire Suicide Prevention Strategy 2004/2005

This document outlines the suicide prevention strategy for South Gloucestershire. Goals include: reducing risk in key high risk groups; promoting mental well-being in the wider population; reducing availability & lethality of suicide methods; improving reporting of suicidal behaviour in the media; promoting research on suicide & suicide prevention; & improving monitoring of progress. An appendix provides data on suicides & undetermined deaths occurring between 1994 & 2003.
