The issue of suicide & suicide assistance via some of the recent cases involving Kevorkian are discussed in this chapter. The author argues that given an accurate diagnosis of an incurable harmful disease such as Alzheimer’s & a competent request, the choice of suicide can be morally permissible & that within certain restraints, so can physician assistance.
