Abstract
“Being an Adolescent Suicide Survivor”- a Collage-Facilitated Phenomenological Approach
Hoffman W A~~~~~~
This thesis addresses two issues: the qualitative aspects of adolescent & young adult suicide survivors’ emotional experiences, meaning-making & coping behaviour; & the need formal & informal caregivers have for psychoeducational resource materials to support these survivors. Participants were adolescent & young adult female survivors (aged 17-22 years). Themes emerging from the phenomenological analysis were categorized into peri-suicide & post-suicide experiences. A web-based psychoeducational programme was developed from the information gathered during the situation analysis. (232 refs.)
