Aboriginal Suicidal Behaviour Research: From Risk Factors to Culturally-Sensitive Interventions

A literature review was conducted to facilitate the development of an approach to the study of suicide among Aboriginal populations. An approach that informs each step of the process with evidence from the previous steps was developed. The study of risk factors & interventions is described. It is concluded research on risk factors & evidence-based interventions for suicidal behaviours among Aboriginal people is required. (69 refs.)
