This article describes SAHAR, an online confidential support service in Israel for people in crisis. A Hebrew website provides relevant & continuously updated information & personal communication to users through synchronous & asynchronous support. Online forums are also part of the service. The website is accessed more than 10,000 times a month with approximately 1,000 personal contacts each month of which at least a third are with users who are clearly suicidal. Feedback from users indicates the success of SAHAR. (76 refs.)
