This editorial responds to a pamphlet the Euthanasia Society in the United Kingdom had written advocating for a change in the law concerning euthanasia given the inadequacies of palliative care practices. It is suggested the work of Cicely Saunders should also be read to understand that a “good death” was not an entirely outworn conception or accomplishment.
