This article describes a national research project intended to study juvenile suicide in confinement. Surveys were sent to institution directors for information on the extent & distribution of suicides in American juvenile facilities over a 5-year period (1995-1999). The final phase of the study collected, analyzed, & described the findings. (16 refs.)
