Migration and Mental Health in Europe (the State of the Mental Health in Europe Working Group: Appendix I)

This paper describes the social, demographic, & political contexts of emigration in Europe & indicates the needs & mental health problems, including suicide & suicidal behaviours, of immigrants. A review of the literature concerning mental health risk in immigrants was also conducted. The problems related to health policies & immigrants & access to health care services in Europe are also addressed. (108 refs.)
