This letter to the editor discusses the article by Ho & Tay, which draws attention to an important problem in hospital practice. In that article a number of factors relevant to suicide were pointed out & discussed. The author of this letter adds 2 more points on patient management that might induce suicidal tendency. The first is drug-induced suicidal tendency & the second is the attitude of the health-care professional. (2 refs)
