The book addresses the impact of client suicide on the therapist. The goals of the book are to encourage discussion of an uncomfortable topic, to point out to providers that they are not alone in having gone through this experience, & to educate therapeutic resources available to them. Several themes are repeated which include: the therapistsÕ experience of anger, disbelief, self-doubt, & guilt. Personal aspects of the therapistÕs own nature & experiences influence the impact of & recovery from the suicide.
