Brodsky B S~~Groves S A~~et al
This study compared depressed suicide attempters with & without borderline personality disorder to identify specific suicide precipitants & risk factors in borderline personality disorder & their relationship to severity of suicidal behaviour. Attempters with comorbid borderline personality disorder & major depressive disorder had a higher number of lifetime suicide attempts; made their first attempt at a younger age; reported more interpersonal triggers; & had higher levels of lifetime aggression, compared with attempters with major depression only.
