This study compares characteristics of combatant & non-combatant Israeli soldiers ages 18-21, who either did or did not die of suicide. Data collected from army records reported that soldiers who died of suicide had greater behavioural adjustments in comparison to the other soldiers who had not died of suicide. The author concludes more research regarding the contributions of personality & situational factors to suicide should be explored. (45 refs)(CH)
