A study of 98 killers in the United States from 1949 to 1999 found those killed by the police wounded and killed more victims than those who died by suicide. It was conducted through the use of searches on the Internet and the electronic database Lexis-Nexis. The results of the test showed those who were killed by the police were more deadly than those who died by suicide. The author concludes future data from autopsies of killers should be investigated so that all of the critical variables can be explored. (10 refs.)(CH)
