In this letter to the editor, the authors present three cases in which patients with serious & persistent mental illness completed suicide in the context of imminent eviction from their apartments. None of the three were facing homelessness, which highlights the possibility eviction as distinct from homelessness, is a specific & proximal risk factor for suicide, particularly for vulnerable patients.
