This study examined the suicide ideation, behaviour, & attempt history of 100 adolescents, ages 17-19. Four psychosocial factors were found to be important for overall suicide risk: hopelessness, hostility, negative self-concept, & isolation. It is suggested that focussing on these four factors would enhance suicide assessment & prevention efforts with adolescents. (33 refs.)
