Slater offers arguments in support of voluntary euthanasia in this article. He discusses how voluntary euthanasia may be appropriate when the preservation of life comes only with the prolongation of suffering & provides supporting examples. He concludes that current laws & medical practices with regard to incurable illness or incapacity are patent absurdities that will be overturned by individual need for freedom & self-determination.
