In view of the continuing debate on euthanasia, the author discusses the restrictions & safeguards which were introduced into the Voluntary Euthanasia (Legislation) Bill 1936. Proposals for a new Terminal Care & Euthanasia Bill are suggested, based on some of the principles of the British Mental Health Act 1983. (14 refs.)
