A comprehensive assessment was made of the psychological & social well-being of a snowball sample of 1285 gay, lesbian, & bisexual respondents. Out of the whole sample, 361 individuals had attempted suicide. These attempts were associated with markers of discrimination such as recent physical attack & school bullying but not with higher scores on the revised Clinical Interview Schedule. (14 refs.)
