Josh was a 15-year-old teenager who suffered from depression & possible bipolar disorder. He was prescribed antidepressants for his depression but in August 1999 he died by suicide. A memorial fund was set up in JoshÕs name which is now the registered non-profit & charity, the Josh Platzer Society. The mission of this society is to promote suicide prevention & awareness in British Columbian youth & the people they come in contact with. (LC)
