This article outlines the content of the undergraduate course which gives graduates an awareness of the processes of grief & some experiences of grieving patients, as well as personal survival skills for working in this area. The course consists of these parts: grief causation, breaking bad news, anticipatory grief, death management, reactionary grief, managing grief in general practice, abnormal grief, specific losses, care for the carer, course evaluation, & growth through grief.
