This study assessed attitudes towards physician-assisted suicide held by 1st & 4th year medical students at the University of Western Ontario via a 13 question anonymous survey. Some of the results included respondents, especially those in 4th year, being unwilling to aid in physician-assisted suicide in the capacity of physicians (63% overall unwilling). However, if they were patients they wanted physician-assisted suicide to be an option (64% overall). Most respondents welcomed (39%) or were neutral (45%) towards legalization of physician-assisted suicide. (LC) (7 refs)
