The authors summarize a poster session that presented an integration of 2 theoretical conceptualizations of suicidality: 1) a 4-dimensional model of motivation for suicide which encompasses the psychological, social, biological, & spiritual motivation dimensions; & 2) an existential-constructivist theory of suicide that looks at the challenges to a person’s constructions related to self, world, & others.
