Future Mental Health Challenges in Europe: Strengthening Co-Operation Between EU and WHO

This document summarizes the outcomes of a Seminar held by the European Commission in Luxembourg, December 2002. The Seminar focused on how best to continue the collaboration between the European Commission DG SANCO Directorate on Public Health & the WHO/Europe Mental Health Programme. Premature mortality & suicide prevention were among the focus areas that received special emphasis by the Seminar, & their preliminary conclusions on these topics are presented here.
